The Management of DPS-Modern Indian School takes pleasure in announcing that

Ms. Asna Nafees, Acting Principal, DPS-MIS, has been appointed the Principal of the prestigious school with immediate effect.

An alumnus of St. Joseph’s Women’s College, Visakhapatnam, India, Ms. Asna Nafees began her exciting journey in the field of education in 1995 and excelled as a teacher of Biology and English in several schools in India. Her subsequent rise as the Academic Supervisor at the TVS Lakshmi ICSE School, Tamil Nadu, India, between 2004 and 2006 brought her many laurels due to her innate desire to learn, her diligence and dedication to the institution. Apart from assisting the Principal of the school in academic and administrative affairs, Ms. Nafees was also instrumental in planning the Day Boarding and Activity programme of the school. She believes that her tenure at the TVS school has helped her learn the ropes of school management as she was one of the founder teachers who had helped establish the school.

Between 2006 and 2010, Ms. Asna Nafees served as Principal, Crescent Girls Residential School, Madurai, India. A young achiever who received this distinction at the age of 35,she was successful in pioneering changes in the school’s curricular and co-curricular programmes.

During her tenure at Crescent, Ms. Nafees had the distinction of being selected to travel to Brazil as a member of the International Group Study Exchange Programme, under the aegis of the Rotary Club.

September 2010 brought Ms. Asna Nafees to the shores of Doha, Qatar as the Vice Principal of DPS-MIS, Doha, Qatar. Effective May 2011, she took over the administration of the school as its Acting Principal.  Since then, Ms. Nafees has demonstrated her leadership skills with finesse and expertise. She believes that a proactive leader is one whose positive attitude and action must speak louder than words.

Over the years as an educator and administrator, Ms. Nafees has attended and conducted several training programs and workshops on Leadership & Communication, Value Education, Career Guidance, School Counselling and Personality Development. Today, she is considered an authority in these fields by her peers and subordinates alike.
