DPS-MODERN INDIAN SCHOOL students from Class IV to Class XII gathered to bid Farewell to Principal Ms. S. Mattu at a solemn morning assembly held in the senior wing of the School recently.

Ms. S. Mattu took over the helms of affairs in DPS-MIS at a time when the school was in its teething stage. Known for her far-sighted leadership qualities, she not only steered the Institute to a path of growth, but firmly positioned it with an excellent governance structure and a manifold increase in students’ numbers in the last 8 years, from just about 350 to almost 3,500 now.

A dynamic personality, Ms. Mattu never spared any stone unturned when it comes to achieving excellence in |Academics and extracurricular activities. Love for the young has always been her primary concern and would go to the minute details to enhance their all round development. In fact, students were a Heart to her.

As a mark of respect and grateful gesture, students bade ADIEU with songs and wishful blessings. Students presented a banner of about 6 metres bearing a marathon of signatures and messages along with promises to be always good with a difference.

“A good Institute is known by its students”, she said, and was appreciative of their performance and diligence.

Students gathered around their beloved Principal to thank and wish her. They also queued and flocked to get her autograph.
The touching ceremony concluded with the Principal transferring a sapling to a pot as a gesture of growth in a good environment.
