DPS-Modern Indian School conducted a special Assembly on three consecutive days to honor and felicitate students of class V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI and XII for achieving 100 percent Attendance and for being Scholars in the academic year.

The Assembly began with a glorious recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by its translation. The school choir echoed melodiously with encouraging words for the achievers.

Chief Guests DPS-MIS senior President Mr. Hasan Chogule, Joint Treasurer Mr. Azim Abbas and Principal Ms. S Mattu gave out the certificates and badges. Students were congratulated and appreciated for their grit and love for the school, teachers and friends for being role models in various areas, and standing testimony to their hard work and dedication, day in and day out. ‘It is very important to work hard, do well and participate actively in all school activities. Perfection is the journey towards success, an expression of discipline with a difference,’ added the President.

As per tradition of Delhi Public Schools all over the world, Scholar Badge is awarded to students of class V onwards, provided they have secured A1 in a minimum of any four main subjects (English, 2^nd Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Science) and A2 in the 3^rd Language for students of classes V-VIII to be eligible for Scholar Badge. Scholar Badge is awarded to students of class XI provided they have secured a minimum of 85% in aggregate and a minimum of 85% in all subjects. In class XII, scholar badge will be awarded to those students who secure A1 in a minimum of four academic subjects and A2 in the fifth and with a minimum 80% attendance in class.

While giving out the badges to students, Mr. Azim Abbas praised and appreciated the achievers for continual hard work and encouraged other students to persevere and work harder to become an achiever in the coming academic year.

 Also present for the occasion DPS-MIS vice Principal Ms. Asna Nafees, Activity coordinator (senior school) Ms. Mou Bera, school officials, class representatives, students and parents. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
