QATAR NATIONAL DAY 2012

The Qatar National Day Organizing Committee in cooperation with the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) had organized a dance competition and quiz programme on the theme ‘Qatar History and Culture’ for the students of expatriate schools on 14-12-12 in Ahmed bin Hanbal School, Doha. The students of  DPS-MIS were one of the participants who wholeheartedly performed to the best of their abilities. The quiz children answered most of the questions and were awarded prizes. The dance children presented an excellent show where the troupe of 4 years old children performed a rhythmic foot tapping dance on Qatari music with a tambourine. The bigger children came out with the cultural displays such as a performance showcasing Qatar’s history like pearl fishing, Ardah, the sword dance, FIFA-2022 and the symbols of oryx, the antelope and al-khumri, the bird. The children put up a great show which emphasized the identity and history of the country,  embodied the ideals and aspirations that the country was founded on and paid tribute to the men and women who participated in building the nation.
