WORKSHOP ON CAREER GUIDANCE

Grade 8 students participated in a workshop on Career Guidance on Monday the 20^th of February 2012 at Pearl Hall between 12.30 – 2.00 pm. The workshop was conducted by Resource person, Mr. Mohammed Afzal, Project Engineer, Q Con Company. He is an Active volunteer of Reach out to Asia [an organization under Qatar foundation with motto of spreading education to developing countries] and Best buddies Qatar [an organization helping the children with special needs]. He defined career as profession or occupation with opportunities for advancement or promotion and not for livelihood. He also gave information on different career options and methods to be adopted to work towards goal achievement. He interacted with students conveying time management strategies and ways to plan a career. During the open house session, students posed questions pertaining to their career goals and were answered well.
