Little Leaf

She leaves like the leaf blown

The autumn wind sweeps the land

But memories and past don’t go away

As scars of sorrow deepen today.

Round the globe flies the little bird

Her song a delight yet sorrow filled

As this lonely sparrow says goodbye

To wait for the months to pass by.

Sorrow she says she knows no bounds

But her sorrow won’t count

When the little sparrow’s tear filled eyes

Watch the little bird take its flight.

Says the sparrow I will wait

Until the day you return with open gates

Because friends and family always stay

In my heart no matter how far away.
