Class VII - ASSEMBLY REPORT 2016-17
Class VII-A

The assembly by Class VII-A was held on 20th October 2016. The topic for the assembly was “Organ Donation”. The assembly had a routine start with a prayer recited by Rumman followed by the Thought for the day by Deepa; the pledge by Jade; News by Ronson, Gokul and Vanshika and the speech by Sanjay. The assembly was anchored by Manas and Suchitha. The students performed a motivational skit reflecting the necessity to donate our organs and the virtue of such act of kindness. A melodious song was performed by Fahad, Ashay and Rahul. The gathering was addressed by the Principal, Ms. Asna Nafees with her inspirational words regarding the need for organ donation. The assembly was concluded with the National Anthem.
 
 
Class VII-B

Class VII-B presented an inspiring assembly on 27th October 2016 based on the topic “ COMPASSION ” which means caring, sharing and helping others. The assembly started with a morning prayer followed by the pledge, thought for the day and the news. A melodious song was performed by the students. Then they performed a motivational skit which helped the students to understand the necessity of compassion. The assembly concluded with an inspiring speech by Headmistress of the High School, Ms. Mary Cruz. The presence of Rachel ma’am and Deepa ma’am graced the occasion. The assembly ended with the Indian National Anthem. All the students participated in the assembly with great spirit.
 
Class VII-C

Class VII-C presented an inspiring assembly on 1st November 2016. The title of the assembly was 'Humanity'. The assembly started with a brief explanation of the topic by Mariyam. The anchors of the assembly, Saumya Murgai and Yanaa Mehra, welcomed the teachers and the spectators. The day started by seeking the blessings of the Almighty with the prayer said by Kundanika Khanna. Then, Rayyan said the thought of the day continued by the brief explanation of the thought by Aadi. The skit was an interesting part of the assembly. The skit helped the students to comprehend the fact that humanity can be shown even by the smallest deeds by helping others in need. The narrators of the skit, Aina Merchant and Tithi Shah, smoothly brought it to an end. After the skit, a group song was presented by all the students of the class and the beats were given by Aarav Bedi on a guitar. The vote of thanks was then given by Saumya Murgai. Ms. Rachel graced the occasion and shared her thoughts with the children. Ms. Deepa also encouraged the students with her wise words. The assembly then ended by singing the National Anthem of India by everyone present there and played on a keyboard by Juan Santosh Joseph.
 
Class VII D

An assembly on the topic “Kind hearts make true friendship” was conducted on 2nd November by Class VII D. As per the agenda the prayer was followed by thought of the day, pledge, NEWS and a small speech on the topic. Children delivered some meaningful proverbs with explanations. A small skit was conducted by the children, which dramatically explained the real meaning of the topic “kind hearts make true friendship”. The hidden talent of the children came out in the form of a song which was composed by them. Our Headmistress of the High School, Ms. Mary addressed the children and inspired them with her added thought on the topic. The assembly ended with the recital of Indian National Anthem. The anchors expressed their gratitude towards teachers, representatives and coordinators for their never ending support in the form of vote of thanks.
 
Class VII E

On 03-November-2016, Class VII E got a great opportunity to spread awareness about an important moral value called "Empathy" through a class assembly. The assembly started with a morning prayer followed by pledge, thought for the day and news. Then the skit was performed which depicted a small family and certain circumstances which made the students realize the value of empathy in their life. Finally, the skit ended with an eye opening speech by Fathima Sabir followed by choir. The assembly concluded with an inspiring speech by Headmistress of the High School, Ms. Mary Cruz, followed by the National Anthem. All the students participated in the assembly with great spirit and gave a remarkably candid performance.
 
Class VII F

The assembly of Class VII F was held on 8 November in the auditorium.
The anchors of the assembly were Vanya and Saketh. The assembly started with the blessings of the Almighty, the prayer by Farhad, thought for the day by Prisha and explanation of the thought by Huzaifa. Then the assembly was updated with the latest news by Dhanya, Madesh and Asif. Our quiz masters Riya, Sandeep and Utkarsh helped increasing our general knowledge with a quiz. We learnt more about clemency through a beautiful and informative speech rendered by Prapti. Abrar, Siddhi, Alan,Theijer, Shruti, Neha, Aishwa rya, Pranav, Prateek, Asjad and Kaitlyn enthralled the audience by presenting a lovely skit based on clemency. A short video on the topic amused the audience. Saima,Vijayshwari,Uzma prepared placards which explained the topic well and was presented by Mariyam, Afiya, Chaitanya,Yubhashna and Ashwin .The assembly was supported throughout with a lovely Power point presentation by Siddharth, Adnan and Nikhil. The morning assembly was concluded by a congratulatory message and round of applause by our Principal Ms. Asna Nafees. The assembly ended with the National Anthem sung by all the students.
 
 
Class VII G 
Class VII G had conducted their assembly on the topic “SMALL THINGS WITH GREAT LOVE “. Sayed Tamim and Shreya were the anchors for the event. The assembly started with a prayer by Liyana and Thought for the Day by Pranav. It was followed by the pledge by Samuel. To update everyone with the world, Abhinav read the International and Qatar news and Khushi came up with the DPS news.

The choir group of Jayeda, Huda, Varsha and Hana filled the beauty of love into the atmosphere with their melodious song. Ayshaniya delivered a speech on the topic “Not all of us can do great things but we can do small things with great love“ by Mother Teresa. It was an inspirational speech with the message that all of us can do small things with great love. All the students of class VII – G participated to present a skit on the topic given for the assembly. The message after the skit was presented by Rashi. Anamika came with the vote of thanks and invited the Activity Coordinator Ms. Deepa and Academic Coordinator Ms. Rachel to speak a few words about the assembly. They both appreciated all the students of class VII-G for their active participation. The assembly dispersed after the National Anthem by all students of class VII G.
 
Class VII H

Class VII H presented their assembly on 13th November 2016.”Helping Hand - a small act of kindness was the topic of the assembly. It started with a prayer, followed by the thought of the day, news, poem, speech and a skit - all highlighting the importance of the topic. The assembly concluded with the enlightening words of Rachael Ma’am followed by the National Anthem. All the students of class VII H participated, thus making it a successful one.
 
Class VII I
Class VII I assembly was held on 16th November. The topic of the assembly was ‘Hospitality- a small act of kindness’. The assembly started with a prayer song followed by the thought of the day, news, pledge, speech and skit and song. The song and skit conveyed a great message that the focus of true hospitality is serving others and it is simply an opportunity to show love and care. There was 100% participation from the students. The assembly concluded with some inspiring words by Principal ma’am and our Academic Coordinator Ms. Rachel. The assembly ended with the National Anthem.
 
Class VII J

Class VII J assembly was conducted on 17th November, 2016. The topic of the assembly was “Ripple”. An act of kindness can change the world and no matter how small it will always come back to you. The assembly was anchored by Nisreen and Vedant, who invited Yashika for the morning prayer and Baari for the Thought for the Day. A small skit on the act of kindness was presented by the students. A group song was followed by the vote of thanks. Ms. Rachel addressed the students with her kind and inspiring words and the assembly was concluded with the National Anthem.
 
Class VII K
Class VII K assembly was held on 22nd November. The topic of the assembly was Generosity – an act of kindness. The assembly started with a prayer song, followed by the Thought for the day, news, pledge, speech, skit, quotes and a song. The skit conveyed a great message that generous people would prosper in their life, which reached the audience. All the events like speech, song, and skit were based on the topic- Generosity, which is a beautiful virtue. There was 100% participation from the class. The assembly concluded with some inspiring words from Racheal Mam, followed by the National Anthem.
 
Class VII L

Class VII L presented their assembly on 27th November 2016. The title of the assembly was "Fellow Feeling." It started with a prayer, followed by the thought for the day, prayer song, news and a skit pertaining to the topic. The assembly was graced by Principal Ma'am and the Coordinators. It concluded with the choir followed by the National Anthem.
 
Class VII M

Class VII M got an opportunity on 4th December to spread awareness about an important moral value ‘CHARITY’ through their class assembly. The assembly started with a morning prayer followed by thought for the day and pledge. The skit depicted how children can unknowingly show charity which made the students realize the value of being charitable in their life. Finally the skit came to an end with an eye opening speech by Karnaa and Aadarsh. The assembly concluded with an inspiring speech by our Co-ordinator Ms. Rachel, followed by the National Anthem. All the students participated in assembly with great spirit and enthusiasm and gave a remarkable performance.
