DPS-MIS Excelled in Qatar Debate League
Three debating teams from DPS-Modern Indian School put up a wonderful debating performance at the Qatar Schools Debating League held recently at the Doha Independent Preparatory school for boys.
In an amazing show of oratory and analytical skills nine students from class XI and XII competed in five rounds of rigorous debating throughout the day. The team comprising Dhruv Ravishankar, Shubha Ramakrishna and Vignesh Venkataraman showed remarkable team work when they got four successive victories where they defeated Doha College a formidable team. The other two teams won three out of the five rounds each debating against some of the best schools in Doha. The crowning glory of the day was the best speaker Trophy for Geetha Rajeswar based on her cumulative score in all five rounds. Tanvi Pramod also distinguished herself when she was declared the 21^st best speaker from almost three hundred speakers. Savinay Nangalia, Khusboo Sureja, Ramesh Mohan and Rakshit Akshay Jha were the other valuable members of the teams.
