QUIZ CLUB MARKED THE OCCASION OF GANDHI JAYANTI THROUGH A SPELLBOUNDING ONLINE QUIZ COMPETITION – 2021-22

"An ounce of practice is worth a thousand words"- Mahatma Gandhi
 This time on the special occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, which is celebrated worldwide as Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd of October every year, the quiz club of DPS MODERN INDIAN SCHOOL organised an online quiz. On this day, we, the students of DPS remember Gandhi's irreplaceable contributions to India's freedom struggle. The quiz aimed to highlight Gandhiji’s irreplaceable contributions to India's freedom struggle.
The quiz was conducted on Google forms and a total of 107 students from Grade 6- 8 had registered. Three winners from each grade were announced. Maairah Rimas Chadkhan from class 6-F, R. Manjunaata Vijay from class 6-I , Wareesha Kaisar from class 6-K, Mohammed Yusuf Quamer from class 7-E, Jacob Joseph from class 7-F, Aaditya Gopan from class 7-K , Karthika Ratheesh Panicker from class 8-A, R.Visshnu Sidarth from class 8-D , Nabeeha Ilham from class 8-L, were the winners of the quiz who secured First, Second and Third positions respectively.
A survey based on the impact of Covid-19 was also conducted which gave slight analysis of how students felt about the impact of E-Learning on their vision, whether they kept themselves engaged in outdoor activities, and whether Covid-19 had a detrimental impact on their ability to study.
 During the Summer Vacation, informative Training sessions for classes 6-8 and 9-12 were held separately by the students of grade 9, 10 and 11 as well as the Director of Quiz Club, Tejaswi Manoj to evaluate the knowledge of the participants within academics as well as beyond academics and make them familiar with the prospects of quizzes and the objectivity of the questions. The training sessions were each held for half an hour. Overall, the response from the students was overwhelming.
