The resource person Ms. Amanda Chang taught the
debaters about different ways to evaluate society and individuals
through immutable and mutable traits that impact our behaviour, outlook,
and worldview. Presentations, real-world examples, and exercises were
used to delve into how different stakeholders behave, what motivates
them and how they impact society on small and larger scales. |
|
The debaters exhaustively learnt about how this
is used in debates and the methods for understanding the individuals and
societies involved in each debate. They went through several topics from
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to how individuals are impacted by society,
direct interpersonal relations, and self-thought. The debaters gained
valuable experience from this workshop and used several layers of
analysis and engagement throughout the workshop and ratified their
understanding of this topic. |
