The sense of personal identity and uniqueness that a name gives us is at the heart of why names interest us and why they are important to us as individuals and to our society.
Having a name makes the children feel special. Therefore, they are eager to learn and identify the letters in their own name ever since they learnt to write the alphabet.
Keeping this in mind, the children of Class-I were engrossed in the making of a Name Book in which every child was required to colour his/ her own name in a given sheet of paper and then cut and paste it on a uniquely shaped paper. All these pages together would become a colourful and artistic booklet of their names!
Making the “Name Book “was a real joy and pride for the children. |
