The Self Care and Wellness Club representatives organized a
three-day celebration for World Mental Health Awareness Day. The aim of
the event was to raise awareness about mental health among students and
help them connect with their inner selves while eliminating negative
emotions. |
In the Middle school (Grades VI-VIII) the activities were conducted
on 8th October where in a video highlighting the importance of mental
health was shown to sensitize the students. Following this, an engaging
word hunt activity was conducted to familiarize the students with
various terms related to mental health. |

On October 9th, the high school students (Grade IX-X) attended a
video screening on mental health, which aimed to raise awareness and
sensitivity towards the subject. Additionally, the students were
encouraged to create posters on the themes "Pathway to wellness" or
"Mental health matters." The students displayed great initiative and
produced outstanding posters. |

October 10th, the club members began the day with a morning prayer,
seeking guidance for those working in the field of mental health and
individuals struggling with mental health issues. Alongside the prayer,
several events were organized for the higher secondary students (Grades
XI-XII). The events featured an origami bird release symbolizing the act
of releasing negative thoughts, a self-affirmation wall was set up, and
the students were also given with a chance to express their present
emotions through painting on paper. Additionally, The student
representatives of the Self Care and Wellness Club have created a video
that addresses the subject of mental health, with a specific focus on
the various scenarios that individuals encounter in their daily lives.
This video underscores the importance of prioritizing and maintaining
good mental health. |

Overall, the Self Care and Wellness Club successfully celebrated
World Mental Health Awareness Day through a series of activities that
not only educated students about mental health but also encouraged
self-reflection and the eradication of negative feelings. |
