DPS
Society (DPSS) is a non-profit, non-proprietary educational body
widely recognised for its progressive approach and commitment to
excellence. Distinction and diversity are the twin hallmarks of its
philosophy, educational leadership and scholarly achievement the
mission. Strong in tradition the Society has evolved as a matrix of
networking among the state, national and international educational
institutions.
The DPSS is recognized throughout the academic world for its

tradition, it has evolved, since its establishment and its present
day status, into a 'matrix' of networking between the state,
national and international educational development.
Amidst the burgeoning public school system since India's
independence in 1947, the DPSS came into being as a non-profit
making body. It established its first school in 1949 at Mathura
Road, New Delhi. Today DPSS has become an educational organization
to be reckoned with, professing to be a premier centre for teaching,
learning, innovation and research. It is today, reputed for its
progressive approach, commitment and a well-designed integrated
curriculum for pursuit of excellence. DPSS promotes the growth of
mind and body through quality education; an objective that is
reflected in its motto 'Service Before Self'.

In the light of consistent success, the Society received requests
to set up similar schools abroad and make them a part of the larger
infrastructure. Crossing the 100th milestone, DPSS has established a
chain of schools in India and abroad. Under the constant
encouragement and creative guidance of the Management of DPSS, we
have come a long way in spreading the DPS banner across
international borders to other countries like Nepal, Indonesia,
Kuwait, Dubai, Sharjah, Doha, Baharain, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Dhaka, Singapore .
Many factors have played a vital role in the creation of this
epitome of quality education - The vision and foresight of the
pioneers, the total involvement and professional interest of the
serving Board of Directors, the appointment of outstanding
Principals to steer each school in the right direction, and the
committed faculty. These characteristics have placed the DPS Society
on the forefront of the educational map of India and abroad.
While valuing its illustrious history, DPPS is constantly
innovating, developing and implementing the finest education
possible for our students.

For almost five decades, the Society has developed with a spirit
and a vision. Today its stands as a 'citadel of learning', and a
harbinger of 'Quality Consciousness' committed to developing the
minds and initiative of children. The vitality of the classrooms,
the energy of the playing fields and the open friendliness of the
work environment, have enabled its students to reach their fullest
potential whether it is securing distinctions in the Board
examinations or winning accolades in drama, debates, quizzes or
sporting activities. The special character of the DPS Society has
shaped the destinies of each individual entering its
folds.

Mr.
Ashok Chandra, Chairman DPSS
Mr Ashok Chandra, is a very well known figure in the world
of education. A visionary and a truly dynamic leader,
success for him is a journey, not a destination. His
success mantra has been Centralised policies and decentralised
administration which is evident in the functioning of
DPS'S around the world.
Mr.Chandra believes in making the best available to children
and his deepest commitment lies in empowering his teachers.
His mission is to reach out to the yet unreached children.
As
Chairman DPSS, he has brought in a radical paradigm shift
in the DPS Society’s thinking and functional style. Some
