Doha: DPS Modern Indian School once again consolidated its reputation of being ace debaters when four teams from this school came out on top after four rigorous rounds of debating with some of the best schools in Doha.The tournament was held on march26th at Al Rayyan independent school. The team comprising Soundharya Krishnan, Shruthi Srinivas and Eman Zabi was declared the best team whereas Eman bagged the best speaker individual Trophy. |

On the spot colouring activity was conducted on 5/4/2011.The students of class-II (Sections II A to II M) participated in this activity in their classrooms .Colouring sheets with pictures of animals like rabbit, tiger, giraffe, duck, elephant, fish etc. were given to them. Students participated with great joy and enthusiasm. They put in their creativity and imagination to bring life into the pictures.Overall it was 100% participation. |

DPS-MIS wins Carnegie Mellon High School Programming Competition |

At the High School Programming Competition held at Carnegie Mellon University on 26th March, 2011, DPS – MIS came up trumps for the second consecutive year. The contest had 16 teams vying for top honors. Teams of 2 or 3 individuals were given a set of 8 programming problems to solve in C, C++ or Java. All the questions were interestingly woven around Qatar’s hosting of the 2022 Soccer World Cup. |

The DPS-MIS debate teams bagged the Second and Third best teams trophy at the Qatar debate Nationals which was held on the 30th of April at the Al-Wakrah Secondary School for boys.At least 30 teams from all over Qatar participated .DPSMIS entered the national finals for the first time ever. Soundharya Krishnan was declared the second best speaker of the QSDL nationals. She lost the title of Best Speaker by a matter of one or two points. |
