This year our students have performed very well in most of the painting competitions which were held in Doha. We have participated in almost all the competitions and our students have proved themselves with their creative and aesthetic thoughts. Following are some of the competitions in which our student participants have made our school proud.

Kapil rathod of Class IV- A was the grand prize winner of the “Splash Design It” painting contest which took place on 17^th Oct, 2008. He received to and fro air ticket to Doha-Dubai.

Akshata R. Prabhu & Snigdha Kamal of Class-IX received first and third position in 7^th Medical Camp Painting Competition, 2008 organized by Indian Islamic association Qatar.

INDIAN ANTI SMOKING SOCIETY organised painting competition on the topic ‘The Evils of Smoking. Russell Mendonca, Sparsh Arora, Sneha S. Patil, Shubra Bedi & K. Simran, were the winner in different categories.

FRIENDS CULTURAL CENTRE held painting competition at Santiniketan School, on 17th, 19th & 20th December, 2008 and in Sub-Junior (Girls category) Samyukta Prabhu –IV E bagged the First prize, Ashna Pradeep Kumar & Kumari Simran – IV A got the Second prize. In Boys Sub-Junior Ashwin Pradeep- IV A got the first prize and in the junior category Rahul Murali Murugan – VI E bagged the Third prize.

McDonald’s Doha-QATAR had organized Drawing competition on the topic “Environment” Akshata Prabhu received Second prize (Trophy, 150 QR. Voucher and a Mobile Phone) in 13-16 years category, and in junior category Kumari Simran and Samyukta Prabhu’s art work had been selected in the 10 best entries.

In FRIENDS OF THRISSUR Painting Competition, 2008-09, Roshni Nawaz (III B) and Russell Mendonca (V A) bagged the 3^rd prize. The school received a trophy for maximum participation.
